The Children's S.C.R.A.P. Project is a Registered Charity No. 281010 which collects, stores and distributes clean, safe industrial waste to schools, nurseries, colleges, special needs groups, churches, hospital wards, playgroups, community groups and charitable organisations involved in education.
The Children's Scrap project, as a charity, depends on the services from a team of volunteers who donate their precious time to help keep things running smoothly. We are in the process of developing a comprehensive volunteer-based program which will help volunteers get as much out of their experience as possible.
The Children's Scrap project will run a number of workshops throughout the year. These workshops are designed to educate and produce wonderful ideas.
We have an area of 2,000 sq. for the use of workshops, training and educational projects. This area is divided into convenient sizes, with plenty of space, working tables, light, toilets and kitchen sinks.
Every year we run special competitions of projects using materials from the Children's Scrap project to create final products related to the chosen themes.
